Man hört nur auf, es in einer bestimmten Phase weiter zu malen. Die Serie ist keine Reihenfolge von Bildern zum Thema Karneval, sondern die Weiterbearbeitung einer Computerzeichnung. Sie ist sozusagen ein Bild im Bild; jedes Bild stellt eine mögliche Variante des "Bildes" dar.

Pablo Picasso said once, that you never finish a painting, you just stop at a certain stage to paint it. In the painting cycle Carneval the intention was to creat a painting whithin a painting. The different variations present various stages where the act of painting could be stoped.
